PPC has announced changes to its board of directors, appointing Ignatius Sehoola and Advocate Mojankunyane Gumbi as non-executive directors. A third candidate, Dr Stephen Olivier, was originally named with Sehoola and Gumbi, but has subsequently withdrawn his candidacy.
Sehoola is a chartered accountant and a former Executive President of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He currently serves as a non-executive director at SacOil/Efora Holding Ltd, where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also a non-executive director at Old Mutual Group Holdings and Chairman of its Audit Committee.
Advocate Gumbi is a human rights lawyer in South Africa, serving as a Special Advisory to Presidents Mandela and Mbeki. She has also been a key negotiator in the resolution of conflicts in countries across Africa.
In addition, she has board-level experience at a number of companies, trusts, and philanthropic associations, including the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, the Open Society Foundation, LexisNexis, and the Thabo Mbeki Foundation.
