Sibusiso Hlatshwayo has been appointed as Cement Exports Business Development Manager for Chryso Southern Africa.
Hlatshwayo, who will be based at the Chryso SA head office in Jet Park, Johannesburg, has spent 15 years of his career at Lafarge SA and was the cement producer’s Performance Manager: Aggregates Product Line prior to joining Chryso. After joining Lafarge as Chemical Engineering Trainee in 2003, Hlatshwayo rose rapidly through the ranks to hold several other managerial positions at the company mainly focused on operations management, product innovation, and quality control.
He was, for example, Quality Manager at Lafarge’s Lichtenburg works as well as Lafarge’s Cement and Fly Ash Product Line, Grinding Plant Manager at Lafarge’s Randfontein Grinding Plant, and Project Engineer at the producer’s Quality Department. Hlatshwayo, who is about to complete his MBA qualification at Wits Business School, holds a Certificate for Competence: Mentorship for Leaders from Witwatersrand University, and National Diploma: Chemical Engineering from Witwatersrand Technikon.
