Ecocem, the leading low-carbon company backed by Breakthrough Energy Ventures presents low carbon cement and construction solutions at upcoming event in Lyon.
Developing low carbon cement and construction solutions while reducing the global carbon footprint of the traditional cement manufacturing process by more than half is what the Managing Director of Ecocem’s European business, Conor O’Riain, will be speaking about during CarbonZero Global Conference & Exhibition 2023 (October 26-27, Lyon, France). Investors in Ecocem include Saint-Gobain Group, a global leader in light sustainable construction, and Bill Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Ecocem also counts ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading steel and mining company, as a major shareholder in its Ecocem France subsidiary.
Conor O’Riain is the Managing Director of Ecocem’s European business. He has a background in Sales and Marketing and has held a number of senior positions in the publishing and events industries. He joined Ecocem in 2006 ignited by the passion of the Ecocem team to make a difference and the scale of the challenge facing the cement industry. His focus is on operationalising Ecocem’s Innovation and R&D capability to deliver both product and technology driven partnerships that can scale the impact and availability of Ecocem’s low carbon cement capability and radically reduce the industry’s emissions by 2030. Conor is on the Board of Board of Network Irlande (a French Irish Chamber of Commerce).
