    Women in Construction conference

    The Amabhubesi Conference and Training’s Women in Construction conference returns after a 2 year hiatus to Johannesburg on Tuesday and Wednesday  the 28th and 29th of June 2016. It will be held at Amabhubesi conference center with a dynamic lineup of guest speakers and the MEC of Human Settlement as the keynote speaker.

    Women in Construction conference advocates for women entrepreneurs in the construction business, women involved in the construction industry, it will ascertain that they assemble to explore solutions for the advancement of women in the built environment through empowerment, encouraging more participation and involvement of women, funding and strengthened collaborations.

    Guest speakers will include Mme Maphefo Mogodi who is a director for the Women in engineering and the Built Environment at the university of Johannesburg, Genevieve Naidoo who is the chairperson of the Women’s Property network and Head of CIB Real Estate Credit for the Standard Bank Group (South Africa & Rest of Africa), Marella O’reilly  who is a registrar at the south African council for the architectural profession, Dr Urishanie Govender who is a General Manager -Environmental Management at Arcus GIBB, Laralee Aldridge aPeople Enablement Executive from AVENG Grinaker lta, Lindelwa Myataza Chairperson of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Theresa Cupido- CEO and owner of Road marking and Civil Engineering company, ATN Group (Pty) Ltd, Bridget Ledwaba the Managing Director Intertoll Africa-Group 5. 

    This two day Women in Construction Conference will create a platform for women in the construction industry to network and delve into the challenges they face in this industry and start a dialogue on how best they can come up with real solutions. This forum will address the latest business opportunities and breakthroughs. Speakers will share their experiences and expertise on a range of topics including personal growth, career advancement and small business entrepreneurship.
